A Carer is defined as someone who looks after a person who is ill, frail, disabled or mentally ill, including parents of children with learning or physical disabilities. Carers are often members of the family or close friends of the patient and are unpaid.
Please advise any of the staff if you are helping someone in this way in order that we can provide you with information of the support that is available to you. We will make an entry in your records and those of the person you care for.
