Country Flavours is based at Lower Bellamore Farm in Preston-on-Wye, a beautiful rural part of Herefordshire and is run by David & Alice Hancorn.
David has lived at Lower Bellamore all his life and is the fourth generation at the farm. The picture used on our logo is of David’s grandfather and two of his Aunties outside the farmhouse in 1938.
As with many small farms in the country, we have been looking at ways to diversify. We started free-range egg production in 2006 and took over Country Flavours in January 2008. The noticeable difference in the taste of our fresh eggs and the support of local businesses has helped to increase sales even in the recession.
People are always saying to us how nice our eggs are. It must be the taste of a really fresh egg, laid by happy hens!
