Generic prescribing

It is Practice policy to prescribe generically - a generic drug is a drug based on a branded product but made by a different manufacturer. When you join the Practice your medication may be changed to comply with this policy and we would be happy to discuss this at your first review.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please plan ahead – if you are nearing the end of your medication, a long public holiday is imminent or you are going away on holiday, please give us plenty of time to process your prescription.

Requests for prescriptions are not taken over the telephone

Repeats will be issued at the doctor’s discretion and are normally for patients on long term treatment. You may be asked to see a Doctor to have your medication reviewed.

Requests for prescriptions may be made in writing, by email at manorstreetprescription@nhs.net by fax (01442 875936), by completing a request slip at the reception desk or ticking items on your repeat slip, or via this website using the form below.

Changes to medication (practice policy)

Changes to the medication we prescribe as a practice are an ongoing process and are done in terms of their effectiveness and cost and in the interest of good medicine and responsible prescribing. We will endeavour to keep our patients informed of the latest changes via this website and by mail, where feasible.

Online Repeat Prescription Requests

If you'd like the form to remember your details, please leave the box at the top ticked.

Please allow 2 clear working days for us to process your repeat prescription request. This period may increase where items requested are not on repeat or where your medication review is overdue. The review date is shown on your repeat list (a copy of which can be requested)

Electronic Prescription Management Service (EPMS)

The Surgery provides patients with the opportunity to request their medications through Pharmacy 2U. Medications are then dispatched to the patient via Royal Mail to a Home of Work Address. Please ask for details at Reception.
