PRESCRIPTIONS FROM HOSPITALS AND DENTISTS - We regret that we are unable to dispense prescriptions issued by hospitals, private clinics/consultants and dentists.
AUTO REPEATS - The surgery now operates an automatic repeat prescription service. Repeat medication being on a 28 day prescription and issued for a 6 month period. Requests can initially be made to the dispensary but this is ONLY for items that are on REGULAR REPEATS and requested every month. Items will then be ready for collection every 4 weeks without the need to re-order, as long as the medication review is in date. Please ask at Dispensary for further information.
Ordering your medication via EMIS ACESS has just become simpler!
All you need to do is register for the service at Reception (if you already book your appointments on line, you can use the same ID and password)
1 Click on www.muchbirchsurgery.co.uk
2 Click on "Online repeat prescriptions".
3 You will be directed to the ACCESS screen
4 Enter your ID and passwords
5 A link will take you to your repeat medication list
6 Select the items you require
Your medication will be ready for you to collect after 48 hours AND:
no more e-mails!
Please allow 48 hours (2 working days) before collecting your medication - this will give us time to order and dispense your drugs.
- Dispensing Patients – patients who live more than one mile from any chemist
- Repeat Prescription slips can be posted in the box provided outside the main entrance
- Medication requested before 12:30 will be ready for collection after 48 hours.
- The current prescription fee is £7.20 per item.
- Pre-payment certificates are available from the PPD.
