Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made in several ways.

You may order a prescription at any of our three sites, Moorfield House, Aylestone Hill or Ross Road.

You must order your prescription from the site you need to collect it from.

Request can be made by yourself or someone on your behalf. If you request you prescription by telephone you may find it difficult to get through at busy times of the day due to the sheer volume of request we receive.

in person at reception

Orders should preferably be made by ticking the right hand section of your prescription slip. This can then be posted in the box in reception or put through the surgery letter box. Reception is open from 8 – 7pm at Moorfield House and 8am – 6.30pm at Aylestone Hill and Ross Road.

by post

Postal requests should be accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope and you should allow 48hrs for collection from the time we receive your request by post.

online

You can order securely via Emis Online. This is our preferred method. Please specify which surgery and chemist. To utilise this service you will need to register, just speak to one of our receptionists who will be happy to organize a pin number for you, then you can create your own account to order your repeat prescriptions. Just click here to go to EmisAccess and the system will take you through step by step. 48hours notice is required before your prescription is ready for collection. This will operate Monday to Friday. If you order on a Saturday or Sunday it will be ready for collection on a Tuesday after 2pm. Only repeat prescriptions can be ordered online.

If you wish to collect your prescription from one of the branch surgeries then you must specify this on your request. Similarly if a particular chemist has agreed to collect your prescription then you must tell us which one.

twelve monthly prescriptions

We now operate a repeat dispensing scheme in conjunction with local pharmacies if you have a regular unchanging prescription. The pharmacy can issue your prescription every month for a twelve month period without you having to order it from the surgery monthly. If you are interested please ask your pharmacist or reception staff for advice.

chemist collection service

If you have requested your local chemist to collect you prescription you must allow them time to collect from us after 2pm and give them time to dispense your prescription. Usually this will take a couple of hours. Prescriptions are not normally ready for collection from the pharmacy until 5pm. If you need the chemist to collect your prescription you must telephone the chemist of your choice and arrange this service with them.
