obtaining test results

If you have had a test and would like to obtain the results:-

  • Telephone the surgery, the receptionist will take the details and your contact telephone number.
  • The GP or nurse practitioner will check the result and ask the receptionist to call you back with the result of the test; or the GP or nurse practitioner will contact you personally.
  • Please leave at least 3 working days for blood test results and at least 1 week for other test result

other services we offer

The practice is committed to promoting good health in our patients. This will be maintained through clinics, leaflets, practice newsletters, and where appropriate, exercise programmes at the local Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool.

MINOR SURGERY - Minor surgery is available to all our patients, and is undertaken by some of the doctors.. Some procedures, such as vasectomies are undertaken by a visiting surgeon. For further information please speak to your G.P.

PHYSIOTHERAPY - We now have a physiotherapist available for limited sessions at Aylestone Surgery and Ross Road surgery. You may be referred by your G.P after consultation.

COUNSELLING SERVICE - This is available at Aylestone Surgery, where you may be referred after consultation with your GP.

LIFT PROGRAMME - “Lifestyle Improvements For Today” this is an exercise programme run by the local Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool. This is available to our patients via an “exercise prescription” prescribed by the doctor or practice nurse.

HEALTH CHECK SERVICES - whether you are male or female, 16 or 96, there is a health check for you. These are held by our Practice Nurses by appointment, and include measurement of weight and blood pressure, urine testing, cancer screening and immunisations. General health advice is given.

FAMILY PLANNING - the practice provides complete family planning services by appointment with the Doctor or Practice Nurse.
